近年来主要从事学术文本挖掘、科技预测与产业创新、科学知识演化、领域技术（知识）谱系生成、科学学等方向的研究。近年以第一作者或通讯作者在 Information Processing & Management、Journal of Medical Internet Research、Social networks、Journal of Informetrics、Scientometrics、Journal of Information Science、Quantitative Science Studies、情报学报（领域权威期刊）以及人大复印报刊资料等领域高影响力期刊发表论文30余篇。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目，湖北省自科面上项目，湖北省社科一般项目，参与国家自科基金重点项目、国家社科基金重大项目3项及大型横向项目多项。曾获本科、硕士、博士国家奖学金，武汉大学学术创新一等奖，指导学生获全国大学生电子商务“三创赛”湖北赛区特等奖、一等奖等荣誉。现兼任领域权威期刊Information Processing & Management编委会成员、Knowledge Organization青年编委、香港城市大学博士后研究员等。
